2D / Explainer Videos

Jaime el Regio 2

Play Video
Following Jaime el Regio’s success we set out to do a sequel, in which Jaime would be getting married. We developed a story that continued his character development and introduced new characters. The goal here was to weave Toyota Innova’s Repair Center into the story and that’s precisely what we did.

Jaime el Regio

Toyota wanted a spot for their new Monterrey Dealership that would resonate with the locals. What we came up with was a short comedy about different things a person would need in order to fit in in Monterrey. Such things include learning the local slang language, eating local food like carne asada, being used to the constantly changing weather temperatures, and of course, getting a Toyota truck. We got the local humor and identity down so well that the spot went viral in Monterrey.

McCormick Grill Mates

Play Video
This McCormick Grill Mates video was a fun journey. It started with a more playful script which then progressed into something more subtle yet still a bit humorous. It is very normal for videos to start in a certain direction and then, as priorities change, for them to take a different route alltogether. In the end we loved what came out of this whole journey. Fun fact, a lot of what you see in this video wasn’t there during production. Take a guess on what we added in postproduction.

La Chona

Play Video
Watching this video will certainly get your taste buds fired up. That’s probably thanks to the fact that these dishes were carefully crafted by a food stylist. If it’s food you’re looking to sell, we’ll help you create that McDonald’s level production that will make viewers so hungry they’ll run for the market shelves to get your product. Because when it’s food we’re talking about, everything must be perfect, colors must pop, things must be grand. And it can be as simple as featuring a few different recipes like we did in La Chona’s commercial.

Don Colchón Día del Padre

Play Video
To celebrate father’s day, Don Colchón, a mattress company, wanted to put out an emotional video that would speak to their audience. They wanted to tell a story about a father wishing his daughter a nice fresh start in her own home. With that warm and nostalgic tone in mind, we made our shot selection, and thought of the best way to execute this idea, considering details such as the father’s voice, the actors, and the location.

Gilsa Spot

Play Video
Making this TV and movie theater spot was a lot of fun. The casting was a challenge on its own, since our client wanted a little kid (hint: little kids are great attention grabbers) and pre-production time was tight. But we eventually found the perfect little guy to star in this short video set in Gilsa. Take a look.

Daltile Nuevos Productos

Play Video
Daltile is a ceramic and porcelain tile company that needed a video catalogue to show off the possibilities that their new products offered, while subtly communicating how their products are inspired by natural materials. We came up with a video proposal that would showcase the textures and tones of natural materials. Our team had a blast playing with extreme close ups of natural elements, and by combining these with 3D renderings of the tiles in interior spaces, we think we really communicated the mood that Daltile was looking for.

Spot Día de las Madres Don Colchón

Play Video
Don Colchón, once again, sought out our services for mother’s day, specifically requesting a portrayal of the importance of every mother having good old quality sleep. We parodied this idea and came up with a few case scenarios comparing the trials and tribulations of a tired mother to the glamour and carefree of one getting the best sleep thanks to her Don Colchón mattress.

Daltile

Play Video
Daltile, a tile product business, wanted us to propose a campaign that would display the quality of their tiles. We decided upon three short stories that demonstrate the tiles’ durability against scratching, cold weather, and breaking.

Muguerza Día del Padre

Play Video
Muguerza Hospital wanted a video to share on social media for father’s day. We thought one of the most powerful things we could do was interview real dads about their experience being a dad, and what they wish they could do differently. Then, we had their kids write them a letter about all the ways their dad is great. The result? A heartfelt video that tugs at your heartsrings.

Terza Spot

Play Video
When we created a lengthy spot for Terza that followed the story of a couple as they age and grow together, we saw the potential of dividing the spot into five mini-spots that would each showcase a single Terza product.

Campaña Muguerza

Play Video
What if we could see the same story from different perspectives? That was our inspiration when creating this campaign for the hospital Muguerza. The experience of a little girl coming into urgent care would feel very differently to the mother, the nurse and the doctor living it. The added benefit of this strategy is that we would get different tones that would appeal to different audiences. Through the mother’s eyes we’d appeal on an emotional level; through the nurse’s story we’d be able to convey the warmth that the nursing team provides to their patients; and through the doctor’s point of view we conveyed the professionalism and expertise that Muguerza’s capable team offers.

Campaña Terza

Play Video
When we created a lengthy spot for Terza that followed the story of a couple as they age and grow together, we saw the potential of dividing the spot into five mini-spots that would each showcase a single Terza product. Making sure you get the most out of our work together is important to us, so we’re often suggesting the best ways for our clients to get more content for a reduced price.

Dabble and Dollop

Play Video
For this video the task was simple. Bring a 3 in 1 bottle of Baby Shampoo to life. We took an existing illustration, made it move, and then took it further by zooming out and revealing the bottle in 3D.

Toyota Lideres

Play Video
Behold the beauty of frame by frame animation. This may look like a simple 20-second animation, but creating this was way more elaborate than creating a 1 minute motion graphic video. In this video every single frame of movement was illustrated by hand to create a different kind of feel, very organic. Our client also wanted something minimalistic so we went for just a few splotches of red as an accent color.

Pet Destiny

Play Video
We all love pets. Well, a lot of us do. And when they pass on to a better life, we can get pretty sad about it. The last thing we may want to think about is the incineration process of our furry loved ones. That was the challenge of this project, where we had to board a sensitive subject in under a minute. This time we opted for a very warm look and feel that would be empathetic towards the end customer and pet lovers. This is what we came up with.

La Zanahoria es lo de Menos

Play Video
A trailer for an upcoming book? That’s a thing! The writer of this book commissioned us to create a teaser that would excite people, get the word out on his new book, and be used as a visual aid at during presentations.

Terza Turf

Play Video
People love to learn. So when selling a product that involves installation why not give your customers a helping hand? With a DIY video, you’re giving customers the opportunity to be resourceful and learn how to do something on their own, as well as inspiring them to transform their own spaces. This video was shot in real time, to cover the full installation of Terza’s synthetic turf at a residential home.

Home Depot

Play Video
Home Depot hired us to produce a series of videos for their social media. Some of these videos gave tips on how to use certain products, while others were step-by-step videos focused on helping viewers make significant home and garden improvements on their own.

Brenda Osnaya Toyota

Play Video
There’s something particularly special about success stories and this one in particular was quite an honor to tell. Brenda Osnaya is a local paratriathlete celebrity, a big inspiration to many, as she’s been an example of grit, perseverance and discipline. Following an accident, she lost the ability to move both legs but knowing she was an athlete in spirit, she went on to become a paralympic success. Toyota Innova wanted to showcase her story and show her some support by gifting her a new van that would allow her and her family to travel to her competitions.

Sigma

Play Video
During the pandemic one of our longest standing customers had a need to communicate different matters regarding the constantly changing circumstances we were all living in. They had to create empathy within the company, instill tranquility in the collaborators, and disclose clear messages for everyone to act upon. We were Sigma’s ally, creating not just one but several videos over the course of the pandemic. We had to be strategic and careful. Every detail, including the style of the characters was carefully pondered. Here is an example of that video campaign.

Palliser

Play Video
An institutional video serves many important purposes. Showing off your production process can generate trust in buyers, investors and partners. Palliser needed a live action video that would showcase their real production process, and we delivered just that.

Terza Institucional

Play Video
Institutional videos can be many things. Usually they showcase businesses’ facilities and teams, but for this institutional video, interior design product business Terza wanted something a little more flashy, story-driven and warm. Together we decided on an institutional video that would show the variety of products that Terza offers through a famiily life reflective of Terza’s target audience.

Waste Applications

Play Video
Garbage company? We got you. Even the most mundane things can be turned into something aesthetic. This time around we portrayed a glimpse into a garbage company’s process through a quick GIF animation. The end use of it was a login page for the companies using this service. That’s why a GIF made sense.

Swarmalytics

Play Video
Doug Newell from Swarmalytics was enthusiastic about creating a video that would visually explain what his app could do for online business owners. Closer to the conclusion of that project, we started talking about another very special project, this time specifically for Swarmalytics as a brand, so they could show the world what their technology is capable of. Doug and his team were so happy with their first experience working with us, that they decided to take a leap and go for our top tier package, the ‘Blow them away’ tier, so they could do just that… impress their clients. Our team took on the task whole-heartedly and delivered something fresh, that would indeed ‘blow them away’.

Yoplait Kids

Play Video
Yoplait Kids launched a campaign centered around diversity and inclusivity, which are both values that are great for kids to learn directly or indirectly from a young age. To represent diversity, Yoplait Kids created various differing flavor characters of different heights, widths, genders, colors, etc. They represented kids with disabilities, kids with braces, glasses and so on. Yoplait wanted to give life to some of these characters in 3D and we set to the task, coming up with four different 3D characters. Check them out!

Biu Media

Play Video
Clean and minimalist is the style we went for in this campaign made up of three different videos: Biu Agencias, Biu Socios and Biu Empresas. This company needed to target three different audiences, so we created three separate stories, each one tailored to a different audience. We told these stories in an illustration style that was approachable yet somewhat formal. Even though we had no characters, we strived to give the basic shapes some personality to keep the video engaging.

Malandra

Play Video
Got just 10 seconds? We can work with that. Malandra reached out to us needing a quick promotional video for their Instagram stories and that’s exactly what we delivered. A quick blurb, that touches on the experience of gift giving and receiving through feminine and modern visuals.

ObservIQ

Play Video
Working with ObservIQ on this project was fun from start to finish. Our client’s contagious energy allowed us to explore a whole new approach to explainer videos, and the result was a video with a playful personality. ObservIQ is the perfect example of how something quite technical can be portrayed in a quick, digestible, and entertaining 90-second video.

Captivate

Play Video
Jason from Captivate entrusted us with a mission that we thoroughly enjoyed here at Pixories. His straightforward product needed just that, a straightforward, inviting and effective video that would tie up Captivate’s offering in just a few seconds. We created a script that made sure to mention the target audience’s problem, the solution Jason’s platform could provide, and a unique visual (like we always do) to go along with it. This is what we came up with.

Apiary AI

Play Video
Wanna tell a story using bees? Yes, of course, it’s totally possible. This client had bees in mind to portray their ‘intelligent agents’ who help e-commerces close deals by sending incentives to browsers. So, we followed suit and gave life to little agent bees who carried out the story of Apiary AI. The result was pretty cute to be honest. Take a look for yourself!

Savant Labs

Play Video
Sometimes less is more. This client wanted to keep it short and sweet, just giving away enough information to engage their unique audience and get them to try the app. The style reflected simplicity and minimalism with an air of light humor. See it for yourself.

Open Blender

Play Video
Open Blender was a complex project. It is the perfect example of an explainer that takes a topic or company that is hard to explain and breaks it down to a few seconds of visual storytelling, delivering just the essential information that the target audience needs to know. This one had to be clear and appealing but it also had to cater to a more elevated audience that understood this sector. Open Blender and ourselves, were happy with the end result.

Wise App

Play Video
Wise AI’s groundbreaking humanitarian app, Reunite, helps citizens upload and report sightings of missing children in southeast Asia using face recognition technology. They reached out to us, needing to create a video that would help them gain more funding. We knew the highest impact element of Wise AI’s product story was the emotional distress we all feel when hearing about these cases. So we bet on emotions, telling the story of a missing child in Asia and then proceeding to propose a solution through the Reunite app.

Gilsa Piedras

Play Video
A long-time client of ours, Gilsa, was in need of media material that would explain their delivery policy for quality stones in a way that was easy to understand, thorough and entertaining enough to get through to their buyers. Together, we decided an explainer video would be the best solution: the high impact visuals and entertaining format could explain all that they needed to convey through audio, text, and visual examples, guaranteeing this essential information would be effectively understood.
